Computer hardware(input and output devices)

A.  the following input devices

• keyboard : is an input device that function to type or input letters, numbers or certain symbols into software of operating system run by the computer.

• Mouse : is a pointing device that is used to manage cursor position.

• pointing devices: is A pointing device is an input interface (specifically a human interface device) that allows a user to input spatial (i.e., continuous and multi-dimentional) data to a computer.

• remote controls : is A remote control is a component of an electronic device,  DVD player and home theater systems originally used for operating the device wirelessly from a short line-of sightdistance.

• joystick : A joystick is an input device consisting of a stick that pivots on a base and reports its angle or direction to the device it is controlling.

• PIN pads : A PIN pad or PIN entry device is an electronic device used in a debit, debit or smart card based transaction

• Digital cameras : is a camera that takes video or still photographs by recording imageson an electronic sensor. Most cameras sold today are digital.

• Video cameras : is a cameras used for electronic motion pictures acquisition.

• Web cams : A webcam is a video camera that feeds its images in real time to a computer or computer network

• Scanners : is a device use to scan a text, picture/ image, etc.

• microphones : is an acoustic-to-electric transducer or sensor that converts sound  into an electrical signal.

• Sensors : A sensor (also called detector) is a converter that measures a physical quantity

• MICR : Magnetic ink character recognition, or MICR, is a character recognition technology used primarily by the banking industry.

B. The function of input devices for example is
- To input data and progam that will bwe processed into the computer, translate codes recognizes by input media into codes recognizes by computer, then send the bit data into the storage media.
C. Physical form of input device can be
-keyboard, pointing device such as( mouse, touch screen light pen,digitizer graphics tablet), scanner, sensor, voice recognizer.
D.  the following output devices :

• Monitors : computer monitors, a screen that displays output from a computer.

• printers : printer ( computing), a hardware device

• plotters : A plotter is a vector graphics printing device to print graphical plots

• speaker: loudspeakers, an electromechanical device which produces sound

• control devices : -

E.  Output system :
- An output device is any piece of computer hardware equipment used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by an information processing system (such as a computer) which converts the electronically generated information into human-readable form.
